Sudbury District Restorative Justice makes use of volunteers to assist with program delivery. These volunteers are carefully screened to ensure they are appropriate and up to the task. We accept volunteers from all walks of life, but volunteers must register with a valid vulnerable persons check, be up to date on all vaccinations (Including COVID-19 vaccinations), be 18 years of age or older, and must complete SDRJ volunteer training.
Volunteers who have graduated from and/or are currently enrolled in social work programs at either Cambrian College or Collège Boréal, Laurentian University, or other accredited post-secondary schools are welcome.
In rare cases we are able to use volunteers who are less than 18 years of age. These volunteers perform tasks for Sudbury District Restorative Justice that do not bring them into contact with our clients, or with confidential documents.
What’s the commitment?
Volunteering at Sudbury District Restorative Justice isn’t full-time volunteer work, but rather more casual and as-needed. Depending on the type of work you wish to do while volunteering, you might be needed a few hours each week, or a few hours a year.
